Summer
Outreach Training Course
(SOTC Course)
Are you between 16 and 25, in
full-time education, living in London or in the Glasgow area, and you
would like, together with other young people, be involved in reaching
children for Christ during part of your summer break?
If your answer to this long question is "yes",
then the CEF Summer Outreach Training Course, followed by one or more
weeks of 5-Day Clubs and/or Holiday Bible Clubs is the thing for you
to do!
Conditions of Acceptance
- Be born-again and seeking to live a consecrated Christian Life.
- Be in agreement with the CEF Statement of Faith.
- Be at least 16 years old.
- As the number of places is limited, you are advised to book well in advance. Priority is given to those who can spend time doing 5-Day Clubs following the course.
The
Training
Training together provides fellowship, the prospect of meeting new friends,
times of corporate prayer, praise times and opportunities for relaxation.
Subjects studied include:
- Biblical Basics for Evangelising Children.
- Preparing and presenting a Bible Lesson.
- What is the Gospel?
- Counseling children.
- Quiz and memory work.
- Conducting an open-air meeting for children.
There are also practical sessions which include demonstrating Bible lessons, memory verses and open-air 5-Day Clubs. Every assistance will be given to help equip you for the outreach.
Dates and Cost
The Summer Outreach Training Course in Glasgow is
a non-residential course planned for 12 - 16 July 2010. The cost of the
course is £25. The course is free for those who successfully complete the course and serve
a minimum of two weeks during the summer with CEF of Britain in designated
areas around Glasgow.

Outreach Training Course in London is a residential course planned for 19 - 23 July 2010. The cost of the course
is £59. The course is free for those who successfully complete the course and serve
a minimum of three weeks during the summer with CEF of Britain in designated
areas in London.

What comes next?
Following the training course, and according to your availability, you
