South Wales (Haverfordwest)
Megan is based in Pembrokeshire, South West Wales, serving the children and young people at her home church, Penuel Baptist Chapel.
Having completed the CEF Britain Equip course in January 2021, Megan undertook further training with CEF including Teaching Children Effectively (TCE) 1, and part 1 CMLC training online during 2021. Megan was delighted to completed part 2 of CMLC in Kilkeel, Northern Ireland at the end of 2022. She is approved as a candidate-in-training for CEF Britain and continues to establish and grow her ministry across South Wales.

Good News Club®
A regular (normally weekly) after-school Bible club.
Megan currently runs a weekly Good News Club® for primary aged children in Roch, Pembrokeshire. If you would like help to establish a new Good News Club as part of your ministry, please do get in touch.
Each session runs for up to an hour and a half and includes a Bible story, memory verse, songs, and a range of different activities. Clubs can be held in several different venues including schools, churches and community centres.
CEF has produced a well thought out curriculum to help leaders as well as other visual resources. Many of these can be found free to download from www.teachkids.eu.
Youth Club
Megan has established a weekly Youth Club at her home church, working with children who have transitioned from Primary School to Secondary School (Year 7) as well as children in years 8 and 9. The young people explore Biblical truths in a variety of ways, through mini Bible studies, memory verses, songs and the Wordless Book. The Youth are also engaged in sharing fellowship together whilst preparing and eating their own cooked food, as well as playing team games.
5-Day Club® ministry
Reaching children where they are
Last Summer, Megan was privileged to run a 5-Day Club in Pembrokeshire. These open-air meetings are specifically aimed at reaching children who are not attending the local church or engaged in Christian activities already.
Do you want to reach children where they are? 5 Day Clubs offer evangelistic opportunities to reach and teach children in your area. Whether in parks, beaches, housing estates, gardens, schools, camping grounds, caravan sites—the opportunities are endless! These open-air clubs last for about one hour and are filled with songs, memory verses, Bible lessons, games and a quiz.
The BIG Picture
Last Summer Megan used ‘The Big Picture’ CEF material. You can find copies of the documents used here:
- Lesson plan (www.teachkids.eu/pdfs/big_picture.pdf)
- Visuals (www.teachkids.eu/vis/visbig_picture.pdf)
Seasonal Special Event Clubs
Share the true meaning of Christmas and Easter with a one-off meeting held in the holiday season. These clubs can be held in a school, community centre, church hall or home with a special one-hour programme for local children.
CEF has teaching materials designed specifically for each outreach!
Light / Neon Parties offer a great alternative to Halloween and the opportunity to share about Jesus, Light of the world.
Keswick in Wales Convention
Megan was privileged to lead the Children’s Ministry at Keswick in Wales Convention alongside Eun Sook Geum (a CEF worker from South London). God willing we will be returning to Llandrindod Wells this summer, Monday 29th July – Friday 4th August to run another Holiday Bible Club at the Pavilion.
EMW Aber Conference 2023
Megan will be attending the Aber Conference again this Summer. If you are in Aberystwyth and would like to learn more about the work of CEF do head to the Mission Exhibition. The Mission Exhibition is open Tuesday 15th August – Friday 18th August, 2:30-5:00pm (closing at 4:30pm on Friday). It would be wonderful to connect with you in person.
Training
Are you looking to start children’s ministry in your local area, or develop your current work? Megan offers tailored training sessions to equip and encourage your church volunteers to reach the children and young people in your local area.
At a recent training morning we explored the important Biblical basis for sharing the gospel with children, shared scripture memorization techniques for all age groups, learnt new songs and looked at CEF resources, including examples of the CEF curriculum for children.
