There are three aims in Youth Challenge:

  1. To help young people come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour.
  2. To encourage young Christians to live for the Lord.
  3. To provide opportunities to serve the Lord, especially among children.

Junior Youth Challenge (JYC) is an evangelistic and discipleship ministry for young people aged 11 – 15. This ministry bridges the gap between Good News Club and encourages young people to go on to serve their local church and with CEF.

Most JYCs meet fortnightly in a home, community centre or church hall. As the young people meet with friends in their own age group, they have opportunity for fun together, to study God’s Word and discuss its relevance to them today. There is some time set aside for praise and worship, prayer times, fun activities, games and of course, food!

The Bible Lessons have been written specifically by Youth Challenge for this age group.

Senior Youth Challenge (SYC) is for late teens (16+) and twenties. These groups meet each month to have fellowship, a praise time and study God’s Word. They pray for the work of CEF and most of the young people will be involved in outreach to children through the various ministries of CEF.
