Nothing can lock down God

As we reflect on this year, we can thank God for all that He has enabled CEF to accomplish. In the midst of the pandemic, job losses, and uncertainty, friends of CEF continued to use innovative and creative ways to volunteer, donate, and share the Gospel with millions of children around the world. Here is a video summarizing all that we were able to accomplish in 2020:
As the video says, nothing can lock down God. Thank you for your continued support of CEF and sharing the Gospel with every child, every nation, every day.

Good News Across the Web

‘Good News Across the Web’ has Launched Internationally in Response to Good News Clubs Not Being Able to Meet in Schools Due to COVID-19. When schools and churches closed for weeks in South Korea, a plea went to CEF International Headquarters in Missouri for help with an alternative club format. Staff wrote a manual and tested ZOOM and EZ TALKS platforms. The programme is being launched all over the world where there is internet.

Good News Club (GNC) teachers now have an easy way to set up a club by sending parents a link so their child can join at the regular time. The new format will also help some areas where families are in danger of persecution for religious gatherings. The online class is managed by a volunteer so the teacher can focus on teaching. Children are muted and unmuted as needed, and they can raise their hand to be recognized. They can sing together and even play some games.

Do You Wonder Why?

The CEF booklet “Do You Wonder Why?” speaks directly to children about the emotions they experience due to natural disasters, death of loved ones, crime towards someone they know, and other tragedy. It answers hard questions like, “Does God know and care about me?” “Why do so many bad things happen in the world?” and “How could God allow this to happen?” It guides the child in how to get through terrible circumstances, become part of God’s family, and receive God’s comfort.

This time-tested downloadable resource is available in PDF and video at www.cefonline.com/about/our-curriculum/dyww. Copies may also be purchased in bulk from www.CEFPress.com. Millions of the “Do You Wonder Why?” booklets have been distributed around the US and the world and translated into many languages.

“Stuck at home” Devotionals

This set of 30 Stuck at Home Devotionals is designed to help kids deal with challenges they may be facing during this difficult time around the world.

Each devotional has been carefully selected from our CEF Wonder Devotional Series to help children recognize that God is still in control and to give them practical help in relying on Him to help them through.

These devotionals will come to your email. You can print them for your child to read and think about, let them read it from your device, or forward it to their device. Reading and discussing each devotional along with your child would further enhance the value and may give you a springboard for further helpful conversation.
